One of the most awaited and welcome of vegetables is the first sprouting broccoli. The fresh sweet flavour is such a delightful change from shop bought veg and the tougher less subtle flavours of most winter veg.We hope for the first broccoli toward the end of March, but usually it isn't available until April. So very grateful to take this very early head of broccoli in early February. It was delicious.
